60 Termagants (75% Complete)
1 Red Terror (Complete)

If you like what you see you can always ask for a quote.  We can also help you put together a strong army as well.  Whether it is against a particular race or something where you can play anyone.  We can do it all.  Email us at minigamepainter@gmail.com.

This is a picture split between the Warriors and the Venomthropes.  Venomthropes should be apart of any swarm Tyranid.  I have played against them many times and the 5+ cover save and 2+ poison attack really help.

This is a picture of the Trygon/Mawloc model.  Possible the coolest model in all of Warhammer 40k. The strength and impact of this units really takes the battlefield.  The Raveners in front haven't been painted yet, but another squad that is really fun to play with.  Tons of attacks and many options (RENDING!!!!).  The main thing to be aware of is ANY weapon with Str 8+. Instant death is really the only way to slow these guys down.  They do have deep strike, but I wouldn't use it unless you come out of the Trygon Subterranean Assault tunnel.  That is the only way to spread out enough to not get templated to death.

Tervigons are the heart of this army.  They are really effective if the dice gods are on your side.  They can be taken as a troop choice for an added cost of 50 points (10 termagants) AND they can make, on average, 2-3 more troop choices per game.  To increase your chances for better dice rolls you could always add another Tervigon.  The base is 160 points, but I would had crushing claws and some termagant upgrades.

Personally, I haven't used the Tyrannofex option, but I have played against them a few times.  It is amazing how many weapons it can carry.  These particular Tervigons are magnetized for all options.

I still need to paint a few Termagants and a lot more arms/guns.

The Broodlord has been done since the first few days.  I really like the model.  I am still debating on how to paint the Genestealers .  Whether to paint them stealthy or give them a small colored shell to match the army.  I'll prob go with the ladder just so everything matches.  This army has 9, but a good addition in the future would be another squad or two.  Swarms of Genestealers are crazy effective.

At first, I thought the Red Terror model would have been not worth getting.  After putting it together and some paint I completely disagree.  This model looks great and fits a lot of Tyranid options which they have no models.  #1 the Tyranid Prime is a great cheap HQ choice.   I have seen A LOT of conversions for the prime, but the Red Terror is well worth the investment.  I hope you enjoyed the update.  There should be more to follow because I need to finish up a Khorne army and Nurgle army.

Email me if you have any questions or want a quote on your dream army.  Have a great day!!!!

Magnetized World - Dakka Jet

Today, I want to go over magnets and how amazing they are.  Many customers ask why magnets should be used or added to the order.  There are many reasons:

1.  Makes for easier transport.  Reduces small parts from being broken and can be packed into small safer spaces.
2.  Allows a player to choose from all the different weapon options.
3.  Saves money by allowing different model profiles. (Example: Tervigon vs Tyrannofex or Dakka Jet vs Bommers)
4.  Just looks awesome and  unique.

WAAAAAGH!!!!  For the Ork lovers out there I want to go over the Dakka Jet and how magnets are super important.  Putting magnets on the flyer saves you about $40-80 from having to buy multiple jets for the different options.  There are 18 magnets all over the Jet to allow for options and model profiles.

Here is a picture of the layout ready to be packed away.

Blitza-Bommer Layout

The Ork Burna-Bommer was a little more tricky.  The small missiles needed to be attached directly to the wing.  This would waste a lot of magnets and not look as clean. What I did was make a missile platform out of spure where they could be attached.

Dakka Jet Layout.
Each gun mount has magnets so allow for the extra Super Shoota.

The really fun and unique thing about magnets is that you can play around with all kinds of layouts without wasting parts/bits.  This Jet has all the options at the same time.  WAAAGH!!!  He is really ready for battle.

I took the magnetized blades from my Koptas to change the look.  The good news is that I didn't have to  waste the Kopta body.  Just take them off and put them back on the Kopta.

I am a firm believer of magnets.  They completely change how you play the game.  Proxy models are fine, but it just makes the game better if you can show off your weapons.  It is not expensive and can generally be rolled into your project cost.  Once you go magnets you'll never go back.  Orks may not have a lot of options, but Tau or Tyranid (for example) has TONS of options for arms and weapons.

Warhammer 40k is the game of remembering things.  Why not save yourself some headache.

GO MAGNETS!!!

Studio Update: Tyranids

Hello everyone.  I just started this army for a client just the other day.  The base points are about 1500, but with Tyranids you could easily have 2000+ with these creatures.

If you like what you see you can always ask for a quote.  We can also help you put together a strong army as well.  Whether it is against a particular race, or something generic where you can play anyone.  We can do it all.  Email us at minigamepainter@gmail.com.

Army List:
3 Venomthropes
6 Warriors
6 Raveners
1 Trygon/Mawloc
2 Tervigons/Tyrannofex
8 Genestealers
1 Broodlord
60 Termagants
1 Red Terror
2 Spore Pods

We've completed about 9 of 60 termagants.  It's a long process, but we want them to match the mother Tervigons.

The Warriors have been primed and layered.  The arms will be added a little later so it is easier to paint.

Both of these ladies are fully magnetized and can even hold the Tyrannofex weapons for even more variety.  The Tyrannofex arms are not two handed because the Tervigon egg sac got too much in the way.  It have been modified, but it will still look good.

The broodlord and 2 venomthropes have been completed.  The Trygon/Mawloc has been put together and primed.  I moved some tentacles around on the head to give it a move unique look.

I got the army on 12-29-12.  A good bite has been taken out of it, but there are a lot of models still in the box.  The Red Terror had to be ordered from GW and should be here sometime this week or next week.
